Asparagus Wraps

Grandma said when you serve these Asparagus Wraps to your friends and guest, they make fantastic finger foods. These are wrapped in pastry with a really tasty filling. If you are looking for an elegant yet incredibly simple appetizer to impress a crowd at your next dinner party or holiday gathering, these easy asparagus wraps are exactly what you need.
By combining crisp, fresh asparagus spears with the salty richness of thinly sliced prosciutto, tangy crumbled feta cheese, and a beautifully seasoned savory herb butter, you get a gourmet flavor profile with very minimal effort.
The Secret to Perfect Puff Pastry Wraps
The magic of this recipe relies heavily on working with puff pastry. When it bakes at a high temperature, the layers puff up into a beautiful, flaky, golden-brown crust that contrasts wonderfully with the tender-crisp texture of the fresh asparagus.
To ensure your pastry gets that gorgeous, flaky lift, make sure your frozen puff pastry sheets are fully thawed but still cold to the touch when you unfold them. If the dough gets too warm or sticky while you are rolling and wrapping, the butter layers inside will melt prematurely, and you won’t get that signature airy crunch.

Pro-Tips for Prepping and Baking
Trim the Asparagus Correctly: Asparagus spears have a woody, tough bottom end that isn’t pleasant to chew. To find exactly where to trim them, hold a spear at both ends and snap it—it will naturally break right where the tender green stalk begins. Use that first piece as a guide to cut the rest of your batch cleanly with a sharp knife.
Slice with Ease: Using a pizza cutter to slice your puff pastry sheet into strips is an absolute game-changer. It glides right through the dough without pulling or tearing the delicate layers, giving you perfectly even half-inch strips every time.
Keep It Tightly Wrapped: When wrapping the pastry strip around the asparagus spear, angle it slightly so it spirals smoothly down the stalk, filling side in. Press the ends down firmly on your parchment-lined baking sheet so they don’t unravel in the hot oven.
