When you need warm, freshly baked bread on the table fast, nothing beats Grandma’s Easy Biscuit Muffins. They combine the best of both worlds: the golden, buttery layers of a classic homemade biscuit with the quick, effortless preparation of a muffin.

Growing up, Grandma made these whenever dinner needed a little extra comfort or when unexpected guests stopped by. Because you drop the batter right into a muffin tin, there’s no rolling pin, no biscuit cutters, and no messy flour-covered countertops. In less than 20 minutes, you get tender, fluffy, golden-brown beauties ready to slather with butter and jam.

Why You’ll Love These Biscuit Muffins

Whether you’re serving them alongside a steaming bowl of soup or using them to catch extra gravy at Sunday dinner, these quick biscuits are an absolute staple.

  • No Rolling or Cutting Required: Skip the mess! Just mix the simple dough, scoop it straight into your muffin tin, and bake.
  • Fluffy & Buttery Texture: Delivers that irresistible tender crumb and golden crust everyone loves in a hot biscuit.
  • Super Quick Prep: Takes less than 10 minutes of hands-on prep time using simple pantry staples.
  • Versatile for Any Meal: Perfect for breakfast with butter and honey, or served alongside soups, stews, and casseroles for dinner.

Grandma’s Tips for the Best Biscuit Muffins

To make sure your biscuit muffins turn out exceptionally light, fluffy, and golden every single time, follow Grandma’s golden rules:

  • Don’t Overmix the Batter: Stir the ingredients together just until combined. Overmixing develops the gluten in the flour, which can make your biscuits tough instead of light and tender.
  • Keep Ingredients Cold: If your recipe uses cold butter or milk, keep them chilling in the fridge until the very last second. Cold ingredients create tiny pockets of steam as they bake, resulting in a fluffier texture.
  • Grease the Tin Well: Generously grease your muffin cups with butter or non-stick spray to ensure the bottoms get crispy and the muffins slide out effortlessly.
  • Brush with Butter: For that signature golden finish and rich flavor, brush the tops with a little melted butter right when they come hot out of the oven.
