Ingredients 

  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 ½ cups milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • In a bowl whisk together the first 4 ingredients.
  • In another bowl whisk the mayonnaise and milk until blended.
  • Add to the dry ingredients, only stirring until moistened. (The batter will be thick)
  • Spoon ¼ cup of mixture into each of the 12 greased or paper lined muffin cups.
  • Bake until they are golden browned for about 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Cool for about 5 minutes before removing from the muffin pan and transferring to wire rack. Serve them warm.
