Why You’ll Love This Recipe

You will love these grandma’s granola parfaits because they are incredibly customizable, healthy, and packed with old-fashioned goodness. Moreover, the combination of velvety smooth yogurt, juicy fresh berries, and sweet, toasted granola provides an amazing contrast of textures. This happens in every single spoonful.

It is a wonderful, light dish to prep ahead of time for busy weekdays. Alternatively, serve it as a refreshing option at a weekend brunch. This can be done right alongside a warm platter of my festive Grandma’s Eggnog French Toast!

Grandma’s Tips

Layer Just Before Serving: To keep your granola as crunchy as possible, assemble your parfaits right before you plan to eat them. However, if you need to make them ahead of time for a party, layer the yogurt and fruit first. Then drop the crunchy granola on top at the very last second.

Choose the Right Yogurt: Grandma always loved a thick, creamy base. Using a rich Greek yogurt or a traditional whole-milk vanilla yogurt gives the parfait enough structure. This helps it to hold up your heavy fruit and oat layers beautifully without turning into a liquid mix.

Get Creative with Fruit: While fresh strawberries and blueberries are absolute classics, don’t be afraid to change it up based on what is in season. You can use sliced peaches, fresh raspberries, or even a spoonful of homemade fruit compote. Any of these can completely elevate the flavor profile.
