Why You’ll Love This Slow-Cooked Beef

Melt-in-Your-Mouth Tenderness: Cooking the beef slowly over low heat breaks down the meat until it is incredibly tender, juicy, and easy to shred with a fork.
Rich and Savory Gravy: The natural juices from the beef combine with simple seasonings. Therefore, this creates a deeply flavorful gravy that coats every single bite.
Effortless Weekday Dinner: This substantial, hands-off meal is perfect for busy days. It is also great for family gatherings, or meal-prepping cozy weekday dinners.

Tips for the Perfect Slow-Cooked Beef

Sear the Meat First: To lock in the juices and add a beautiful depth of flavor, sear your beef in a hot skillet for a few minutes on all sides before putting it into the slow cooker. This simple step creates a gorgeous crust. In addition, it makes your gravy taste incredibly rich.

Cook on Low Heat: Resist the urge to rush the process by turning the slow cooker to high! Giving the beef a full eight hours on low allows the tissues to break down properly. As a result, you get that perfect, pull-apart texture.

Thicken the Gravy at the End: To get a perfectly thick and luscious sauce, whisk a small cornstarch slurry into the liquid during the final thirty minutes of cooking. This ensures your savory gravy clings beautifully to the meat. Moreover, it coats your side dishes.
