Tips for the Perfect Deviled Eggs
Use Older Eggs for Easy Peeling: If you are boiling your eggs from scratch, try to use eggs that have been in your refrigerator for a week or two rather than farm-fresh ones. Older eggs are much easier to peel cleanly, leaving you with beautiful, smooth egg whites.
Get the Filling Silk-Smooth: For a truly luxurious texture, mash your egg yolks with a fork until they are completely fine and powdery before adding your mayonnaise. If you want a picture-perfect presentation, you can even pipe the filling into the egg whites using a ziplock bag with the corner snipped off!
Fresh Herb Magic: While dried dill works in a pinch, using fresh sprigs of dill makes a world of difference. It gives the filling a beautiful speckled color and a bright, aromatic flavor that pairs perfectly with the garlic.
