Grandma’s Peach Crisp Parfait Pops

Spread the love

There is nothing quite like pulling a vibrant, ice-cold peach pop out of the freezer on a scorching summer afternoon. Growing up, Grandma knew that I always loved a good, refreshing fruit dessert. It was the ultimate seasonal treat, usually made when fresh summer peaches were at their absolute peak of sweetness and we needed something cool to beat the heat.

Most of the homemade popsicle recipes I found online over the years seemed entirely too icy, bland, or complicated to make, requiring endless specialized equipment. That’s when Grandma taught me her version. She always said this recipe is on the simpler side, skipping the fussy steps while delivering the absolute best flavor you will ever taste. With its creamy yogurt layers, sweet juicy peach puree, and crunchy oat crisp topping, it is pure nostalgic summer comfort on a stick.

  • Great for Summer Prep: These pops freeze beautifully and keep for weeks, making them a fantastic grab-and-go snack for kids and adults alike all summer long.

Grandma’s Tips for the Perfect Peach Parfait Pops

Making frozen treats is an art, but Grandma always had a few old-fashioned tricks up her sleeve to make sure her popsicle parfaits turned out flawless and beautiful every time:

  • Use Ripe, Fragrant Peaches: For the sweetest flavor without adding tons of sugar, make sure your peaches are slightly soft and fragrant before pureeing them.
  • Layer for Stunning Stripes: Alternate spooning your yogurt mixture, peach puree, and oat crisp into the molds to get those eye-catching, bakery-style parfait layers.
  • Pack the Oat Crust Gently: Press the final layer of oat crisp topping lightly into the top of each mold so it sticks to the cream layer and doesn’t crumble away when unmolded.
  • The Warm Water Release: To easily remove your pops without breaking them, submerge the bottom of the popsicle mold in warm (not hot) water for 5 to 10 seconds before gently pulling the sticks.
