Ingredients 

  • 2 large red grapefruits
  • 3 tsp ginger, chopped finely or crystalized
  • 2 tsp sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat the broiler.
  • Cut the grapefruit crosswise in half and with a small knife, cut around the membrane in the center of each half and discard or throw t away.
  • Cut around each section to loosen the fruit. Place on the baking sheet, with the cut side up.
  • In a bowl mix the ginger and sugar. Sprinkle over the grapefruit halves.
  • Broil about 4-inches from the heat until the sugar is melted for about 3 to 4 minutes.
