Ingredients 

  • 2 lbs boneless beef round steak (½-inch thick)
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 ¼ medium onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 can (4 oz) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
  • Hot cooked noodles (cook according to package directions)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325°.
  • Trim the beef, and cut it into serving size pieces.
  • Place in a greased 13x9-inch greased baking dish. Sprinkle with pepper.
  • Top with mushrooms, onion, and tomato sauce.
  • Cover and bake for 1 ¾ to 2 hours or until the meat is tender. Serve over noodles.
