  • 1 shallow dish
  • 1 large cast iron skillet
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 large fork
  • 1 fish turner

Ingredients 

  • 2 tsp honey
  • cup canola
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ lbs Walleye fillets
  • 2 cups crushed Ritz crackers (about 45 to 50)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • optional: lemon wedge and minced fresh parsley

Instructions

  • In a shallow bowl, beat the egg, and add the honey.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the crackers and salt.
  • Dip the fish in the egg mixture, the in the cracker mixture. Turn until completely coated.
  • In a cast iron skillet, cook the fillets in oil over medium heat until golden brown and fish flakes easily with a fork about 3 to 5 minutes on both sides.
  • If desired, top with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
