Ingredients 

  • 1 ½ lbs fresh broccoli florets (about 12 cups)
  • 2 Tbsps olive oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper, (divided)
  • ½ cup lemon juice
  • 2 tsp grated lemon zest
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°.
  • Place the broccoli in a large bowl.
  • Whisk lemon juice, salt, ⅛ pepper, and oil, until blended well. Then drizzle the mixture over the broccoli and toss to coat completely.
  • Transfer to a 13x9 inch baking pan.
  • Roast about 15 minutes or until it is tender. Transfer to a serving dish.
  • Sprinkle with the almonds, remaining pepper, and lemon zest. Toss to combine.
