Instructions
Prepare and bake the cake according to the package directions, using 2 9-inch round baking pans.
Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes before removing them. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, vanilla, salt, and sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream.
Cut each cake horizontally into two cake layers.
Place the bottom layer on a serving plate, and top with a fourth of the cream mixture.
Sprinkle with a fourth of the chocolate. Repeat the layers 3 times.
Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
