Equipment

Ingredients 

  • 1 ¼¼ cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 small cayenne or other fresh red chili pepper, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsps lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp minced fresh rosemary or 1 tsp dried rosemary, crushed
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 lbs uncooked shrimp (31 to 40 per lb), peeled and deveined

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, combine all ingredients except the shrimp. Bring to a boil. Cook uncovered, until liquid is reduced by half.
  • Stir in shrimp and return just to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat, let it simmer uncovered until the shrimp turns pink about 3 minutes, making sure to stir occasionally.

Notes

Grandma was sure to remind you to wear disposable gloves whenever handling and cutting hot peppers. This is because the oils in the peppers can burn your skin.
Also when handling peppers be sure not to touch your face.
