Grandma’s Mashed Cauliflower Au Gratin (Easy Cheesy Side Dish)
Serve a side dish everyone loves with Grandma's Mashed Cauliflower Au Gratin! This easy, cheesy baked cauliflower casserole tastes just like rich mashed potatoes.
Preheat the oven to 350°. Place cauliflower in a stockpot and add water to cover the cauliflower. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, simmer, uncovered till tender about 10 minutes.
Drain and transfer the cauliflower to a large bowl. Mash the cauliflower, then stir in the cheeses, seasonings and cubed butter. Transfer the mixture to a greased 3 quart or 13x9 inch baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix bread crumbs and melted butter until evenly coated, then sprinkle over the cauliflower mixture. Bake uncovered, until heated through and topping is golden brown, about 40 minutes.
