  • 1 3 quart serving bowl
  • 1 large saucepan
  • 1 spoon

Ingredients 

  • 1 pkg (3 oz) berry blue gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water, divided
  • 2 ½ cups cold water, divided
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 6 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pkg (3 oz) raspberry gelatin
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • optional : whipped topping and additional berries

Instructions

  • Dissolve the berry blue gelatin in 1 cup f boiling water. Then stir in 1 cup of cold water.
  • Add the blueberries, and pour into a 3 quart serving bowl. Refrigerate till firm about 1 hour.
  • In a saucepan, sprinkle the envelope of unflavored gelatin over ½ cup of cold water. and let this stand for about 1 minute.
  • Add the sugar and cream. Cook and stir over low heat until fully dissolved.
  • Cool to room temperature. Now, whisk in the vanilla and sour cream.
  • Spoon over the blue layer. Refrigerate until firm.
  • Dissolve the raspberry gelatin in the remaining hot water. Stir in the remaining cold water.
  • Add the raspberries. Spoon over the cream layer. Chill until it is set.
  • Top with the whipped topping and berries if desired.
