Grandma's Easy Must Have Tiramisu

It was the ultimate sweet treat, usually saved for holiday gatherings, special family occasions, or warm afternoons when nobody wanted to turn on the hot oven.

Equipment

  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 8 inch square dish (with a lid)
  • 1 shallow dish
  • 1 large spoon
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 spatula

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups vanilla yogurt
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup espresso brewed or strong coffee, allow to cool
  • 1 cup milk
  • 24 crisp ladyfinger cookies
  • baking cocoa
  • fresh raspberries (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl beat the cream until stiff peaks are formed. Fold in the yogurt.
  • Spread ½ cup of the cream mixture onto the bottom of an 8 inch square dish.
  • In a shallow dish mix the espresso and milk. As quickly as possible dip the 24 ladyfingers into the espresso mixture. Allow the excess to drop off.
  • Arrange in the 8 inch square dish in a single layer. Break the ladyfingers to fix as needed.
  • Top with half of the remaining cream mixture. Dust with the cocoa. Repeat the layers.
  • Refrigerate covered for at least 2 hours before serving. If you desire, you can serve the Tiramisu with fresh raspberries.
