Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Pour ½ cup melted butter into a 8 inch square baking dish.
In a small bowl combine the flour, vanilla, milk, and 1 cup sugar until blended. Pour into the prepared dish.
In another bowl combine the blackberries remaining ½ cup sugar, and the remaining 2 tbsp of melted butter. Toss until combined.
Spoon over the batter.
Bake until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is tender for about 45 minutes. Serve warm.
