Preheat the oven to 350°.
In a large skillet, cook and crumble the ground beef with the garlic and onions over medium-high heat until browned for about 5 to 7 minutes.
Drain. Stir in tomato sauce and the herbs.
In a bowl mix the cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, cheddar cheese, ½ cup of the mozzarella cheese, and eggs.
Spread 1 cup of the meat sauce into a greased 13x9 inch baking dish. Layer with 4 of the noodles and the cottage cheese mixture.
Layer with 4 more of the noodles and half of the remaining meat sauce
repeat the last 2 layers. Sprinkle with the italian seasoning and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Cover with greased aluminum foil, and bake until the cheese is melted about 50 to 55 minutes.
Let it stand for about 10 minutes, before serving.
