  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 potato peeler
  • 1 drainer
  • 1 Table spoon

Ingredients 

  • 3 large potatoes (about 2 lbs, peeled
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp grated onion
  • 2 Tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • inch vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  • Peel then finely grate the potatoes. Drain any liquid.
  • Add the eggs, salt, flour, onion, and baking powder.
  • In the skillet, add the oil to the depth of ⅛ inch, and heat it over medium high heat about 375°.
  • Drop the batter by using a heaping tablespoon in the hot oil. Flatten into patties.
  • Fry until golden brown, turning them over only once. Serve them immediately.
