  • 1 15x10x1 inch baking pan
  • 1 13x9 inch dish (with a lid)
  • 1 knife

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 2 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 ½ cups caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°.
    In a large bowl combine the oats, flour, brown sugar and the pecans. Add the butter and mix well.
  • Spread in a thin layer in a 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden. Stir occasionally. Crumble while warm and cool.
  • Press half of the crumb mixture into a 13x9 inch dish. Drizzle with half of the caramel sauce. Spread with the ice cream.
  • Top with the remaining caramel sauce. and the crumble mixture. Cover and freeze until it is firm.
  • Remove from the freezer about 10 minutes before serving.
