Ingredients 

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • ½ cup canola oil
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • strawberry syrup (optional sliced fresh strawberries, an whipped cream)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and baking powder.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the oil and buttermilk.
  • Stir into the dry ingredients just until combined.
  • Bake into a preheated waffle iron according to the manufacturer's directions until golden brown.
  • If desired, serve with syrup, fresh sliced strawberries, and whipped cream.
